The librarians lead engaging educational programs and publish electronic guides on topics in information and technology literacy, research, informatics and data management, citation management, and bibliographic tools at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. To support the teaching and learning needs of faculty and students, public workstations offer access to specialized applications such as Epi Info, IBM SPSS Statistics, Wolfram Mathematica, and EndNote reference management software. The library's main PC lab has 30 workstations, while its smaller PC lab in W245 has 14 workstations. The library provides study areas with seating for up to 156 patrons a reference area with eight computers printing, copying, and scanning stations two computer labs, and laptops available for short-term loan. In addition, their website offers remote access to a massive index of full text articles from journals, magazines and newspapers, and unique digital content via its electronic databases. One of four Hunter libraries, the HPL holds nearly 10,000 titles in print, several thousand e-books in biomedical disciplines, and 280 professional journals housed in its 10,000 square feet of space.
